Demonstration of PyMOL and Avogadro Software at zSpace Booth #1731
SUNNYVALE, CA — September 9, 2013 — zSpace, Inc., a technology provider that is transforming the future of human-computer interaction, will demonstrate its flagship product, zSpace, with the popular molecular visualization software programs PyMOL and Avogadro at the 246th ACS Meeting and Exposition taking place September 8-12, 2013 in Indianapolis, IN. The integration of PyMOL with zSpace, an immersive 3D platform that offers users a highly realistic and interactive experience, was developed in collaboration with the University of Southern California Dornsife College of Letters and Sciences.
PyMOL and Avogadro are world-renowned applications used for the presentation, visualization and modification of biological molecules. Avogadro is an advanced cross-platform molecule editor and visualizer designed for use in computational chemistry, molecular modeling, bioinformatics, materials science and related areas. PyMOL is a widely used program for the scientific analysis, graphical and educational presentation of molecular structures. In labs around the globe, PyMOL is used on a daily basis for visualizing structure, measuring structural features such as distances and angles and for identifying binding interfaces, secondary structure elements and protein-DNA readout modes.
By combining zSpace’s virtual holographic platform with PyMOL and Avogadro, scientists and researchers gain a realistic environment for visualizing and modifying biological molecules.
