Chief Executive Officer
Paul guides zSpace, Inc.’s vision of “Bringing zSpace to the mainstream.” Prior to zSpace, he was CEO for Chancery Software, the leading provider of Enterprise Student Administrative Systems. Paul built a successful team and profitably grew the business, resulting in the sale of the company to Pearson Inc. Paul has also held senior positions in general management, sales, marketing, and corporate development at Motorola Inc., Digital Equipment Corporation, and Inacom Corporation.
Chief Marketing Officer
Mike has more than 20 years of successful experience in general management, sales, marketing and corporate development with both start-ups and large public companies delivering high technology products and services. Prior to zSpace, Mike operated his own consulting company, Pathway for Success, LLC., focused on executive and strategy services. Mike has held executive positions as CEO, President and CMO with innovators including Fortisphere, Syfact, BNX Systems and USinternetworking, Inc. (USi), where he was instrumental in building USi from a start-up to the ASP market leader, growing the annual revenue in his business unit from zero to approximately $120 million. Earlier in his career he held leadership positions at Silicon Graphics and IBM.
Chief Technology Officer
David brings 20 years of experience in start-up companies, working with technologies ranging from GSM infrastructure to laptops, printers, PDAs and smartphones, in both consumer and commercial product spaces. He has managed product development teams through the full range of the product life cycle, from initial concept to volume production. David has extensive experience working with suppliers and manufacturing partners worldwide, with a particular emphasis in Asia. He has held various positions in product development organizations such as pen-based computer companies GO & EO, Hewlett Packard, and Handspring.
Chief Financial Officer
Joe has over 20 years experience in senior level financial positions with high-technology/high growth companies where he led financing efforts and designed, implemented, and managed financial and operational control systems focused on supporting overall growth and profitability. During his career, he has played a key role in developing international business strategy that improved revenues and profitability, ultimately leading to the integration of operations into publicly traded companies. Joe has also been responsible for manufacturing oversight and negotiating inbound/outbound product licensing transactions. Prior to joining zSpace, Joe was CFO for Virident Systems, WorkRite Ergonomics, Bay Packets (acquired by Genband), Pacific Microsonics (acquired by Microsoft) and ViTel International (acquired by Premier Global).
Software Development and Customer Support
Chris has an impressive technology background including product/software development and program IT management. He has led several technology/business re-alignments while developing mergers and acquisitions strategy. He has held senior positions in Fortune 500 companies as well as developing technology standards for the International Olympic Committee. Much of his career was devoted to software programs/products focused on children and education. Formerly, Chris was the Chief Technology Officer for Pearson School Systems, a leader in providing Student Information Systems to large and small school districts around the world.
Hardware Engineering and Manufacturing Operations
Jeff brings over 22 years of experience in hardware development and managing products through the complete product life cycle. His strong technical and architectural background includes numerous patents and his leadership capabilities include co-founding multiple companies as well as building and managing engineering teams around the globe. He has extensive experience in managing outsourced design including ODM/OEM development and manufacturing. He has a strong focus on process implementation and continual improvement to ensure a high standard of quality and to drive increased efficiencies across the organization. Jeff has held various positions in hardware product development firms including IBM, Cisco, NetDevices which was acquired by Alcatel-Lucent, and most recently Juniper Networks.
US and International Sales and Solutions
Ron has over two decades of experience in sales, sales leadership, strategic partnerships and strategy development that has helped clients adopt new technologies and innovative methods to help them succeed. Ron has been a key leader at early-stage companies, enterprises in critical growth phases, and global multi-billion dollar corporations in roles ranging from Sales, CMO and GM. A veteran of the K-12 education landscape, Ron spent over a decade in roles of increasing responsibility at Pearson, the world's largest education company. These roles included VP of K-12 Strategy & Innovation and serving on the Advisory Group of the Learning Resource Metadata Initiative (LRMI), a joint effort of the Gates Foundation and the Hewlett Foundation. Before Pearson, Ron held executive positions at Chancery Software, New Media Networks and zUniversity.com – early-stage companies focused on K12, Higher Education and emerging technology solutions. Early in his career, Ron held sales leadership roles at Inacom (acquired by HP). Immediately prior to zSpace, Ron was a member of the executive team that led Avantas to be acquired by AMN Healthcare in 2015.
Eduardo brings 15 years of experience in consumer entertainment and educational products to zSpace. He is known for building strong teams, scaling organizations, and delivering memorable products. He has managed priorities and resources across multiple initiatives while reconciling creative concerns with business demands adapting to volatile market realities and maximizing product profitability. Eduardo's experience ranges from small, agile startups to independent development studios and large entertainment/media companies. He's held executive product roles in companies such as Blue Fang Games, Tabula Digita, and The Walt Disney Company.
Human Resources and Administration
Julia has over 15 years of human resources and administrative experience as a strategic and tactical leader, coach and mentor. She has a demonstrated track record ranging from building an HR organization from the ground up to managing cultural integration of acquisitions and multiple office locations. She has held senior HR positions at Paypros, Drake Beam Morin and Applied Materials, Julia is a board member at GiveTeens20, a non-profit charity working to provide resources for making educated, thoughtful choices in school / career direction. She is also a Member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the Human Capital Institute (HCI) and the Northern California Human Resource Association (NCHRA). Julia has her doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Organizational Leadership.
