GETTING THERE: BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
Mountain View Station is the transit center for the city, connecting the public commuter rail system, Caltrain, and light rail and bus systems operated by Santa Clara Valley transportation Authority (VTA). The Computer History Museum is approximately 2 miles from the Mountain View Caltrain/VTA Light Rail Station located at Castro and Evelyn Streets in downtown Mountain View.
Weekday service from the Mountain View Station to Pear Avenue and Shoreline Blvd. is available via the Caltrain Shoreline Shuttle. For more information on routes including fares and schedules, please visit Caltrain and VTA web sites.
From San Francisco, take a short ride on the BART train to Millbrae station, then take Caltrain southbound service.
From San Jose, take a free shuttle to Caltrain’s Santa Clara station and then take the northbound train service. Also, you can take a free shuttle to the VTA Metro/Airport station and take the VTA light rail.
From Oakland, take a shuttle to the Coliseum/Oakland Airport BART station, take BART to Millbrae station, then take Caltrain southbound.
