Virtual holographic experience featured by partner AC&E at SAE 2012 Aerospace Manufacturing and Automated Fastening Conference
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA — September 18, 2012 — Infinite Z, Inc.®, a technology provider that enables virtual-holographic 3D imagery to bring designs to life, today announced it would be demonstrating its virtual holographic platform zSpace during the SAE 2012 Aerospace Manufacturing and Automated Fastening Conference & Exhibition. zSpace workstations will display use cases, tools and capabilities related to the aerospace industry at its partner AC&E Inc’s booth 403.
This year’s conference is being held at the Fort Worth Convention Center on September 18-20, and brings together the aerospace community to look at what’s next for aircraft, products and systems, including a focus on fasteners, tooling, automation, materials, structures and manufacturing.
“Aerospace development and design requires incredibly intelligent assembly and process software and tools,” said Rick Guptill, Director of Simulation, AC&E Inc. “By incorporating the capabilities of zSpace, we are giving our customers in the aerospace industry the opportunity to develop more effective, efficient and innovative designs and manufacturing assemblies.”
During the event, Infinite Z will demonstrate how simulation works within the immersive 3D environment of zSpace, looking at the manufacturing robotic process to design and test the manufacturing environment before prototyping or building aircraft. Additional applications compatible with zSpace are some of AC&E’s most well-known software including CSR, robotic simulation software; SoftMachines: a tool to test machine programming and visualize an entire process before implementation; and E-Hub Assembly: a tool to create and program robotic workcells for various assembly types.
“There is a constant flow of new technology being introduced to the market, and as such, it’s more important than ever to have a constant pulse on the latest applications for the aerospace industry,” said Paul Kellenberger, CEO of Infinite Z. “The immersive nature of zSpace partnered with the technology pedigree of AC&E ensure that engineers, manufacturers and other aerospace leaders receive a first look at advanced tools that could shape the future of aircraft design and mechanics.”
